Testing Services
AVL is a full service veterinary laboratory, conveniently located near major Los Angeles freeways. We are honored to serve the veterinarian community with our state of the art diagnostic instruments and our team of highly qualified medical technologists. Over the years, it has progressively developed into an integral part of the Greater Los Angeles Veterinarian Community and has provided excellent and high quality services to the medical and diagnostic industry.
AVL has been recognized as a major veterinary laboratory in Southern California. We take pride in the reliability and professionalism of our staff in achieving our mission. Our state of the art analytical facilities allow us to provide a wide range of services in clinical biochemistry, immunology, toicology, serology, hematology, microbiology, mycology, cytology, pathology and much more.
To serve our clients in amore efficient manner, all samples submitted to our courier service are individually contained in a sealed and secured AVL bag with the owner ’s name written on each tube or vial submitted.
Also samples also contain a Test Request Form with the client’s name printed legibly. Containers for these specimens are available from the laboratory.
It is our policy to bill only the Client/Veterinarian for our services. Accounts are billed by the statement once a month. Payment terms are net 30 days. late payments may result in additional charges. We also accept VISA, AMEX and MASTERCARD.
The Laboratory is closed on the following days : Sundays, New Year ’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Abnormal results are routinely repeated and verified and by the request of the veterinarian, at no additional cost. Retesting is performed when there is enough serum in the laboratory. A follow-up test for confirmation is not considered a recheck and will be changed as a new test. Late add-on test maybe added only if there is enough serum in laboratory to perform them.
Specimen collection containers and other supplies are provided without charge. The quantity supplied is dependent on the volume of work from each practice. Supplies will be delivered direcly by couriers and in some cases by your sales representative. Test request forms are supplied, pre- printed with the client’s account number and address.
